Man... I have NEVER seen such a good full court press. Do you ever think we will be that good at a full court press again? I'd really like to see another UK team do a full court press like that.

It's still hard to believe that those players were all on one team...no wonder everybody envied/despised Pitino. Man, what I wouldn't give for another offensive weapon like "TD".

I believe you are correct. These days its hard to get that much talent on one team. Most kids today want to be the star of the team. Plus kids that talented are usually gone after a year.

You guys might disagree, but the talent of the team isn't what impresses me. The unity and chemistry of that team, combined with the desire to be excellent in all facets of the game possible, each game. This game above was such a great representation of what the press was and could do to an opposing team. Yeah we were loaded, but I have seen several highly talented teams that this team would run out of the gym withing the first 10 minutes. This team knew each other, and as Jeff Sheppard said, the practices were harder than the games. That speaks to the talent, but it also speaks to the work and passion that was put into becoming a truly great team.
What I would give for a Waltah McCarty right now to go with Patterson . DeAndre Jordan could have been that perhaps. That's why I truly respect Coach for not going after him. That says a lot to me about Coach's character and respect for the game.
