ATTENTION! Hotel rooms available in Nashville

Folks, if you're searching for a room or two close to the stadium for the MCB, I found one.
I made reservations yesterday at the Best Western Music City. It's off Old Hickory Blvd and is about 20 minutes from the stadium. The lady I spoke to (this was at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday) said I was the first one who had called wanting reservations for that date and their entire block of rooms (120-plus) was available.

My wife and I use the Best Western hotels all the time and they're not what you would call upscale, but they are quite nice and comfortable.

As recently as Sunday, there were rooms available at the Courtyard West End, just down the street from Vandy's campus. While it's not downtown (2nd Avenue area) it is relatively close, and a short drive or cab ride to everything by LP Field.

We are staying at the Guesthouse Inn which is between Vandy and LP Field -- 2.8 miles from LP, 1 from Vandy. We stayed here for the UK/Vandy game it was an 'alright' place. I booked 3 rooms Sunday and 1 more on Monday.

I just checked and they seem to be out of regular rooms, but have suites left for less then $200 online.
