Brentwood Academy basketball star Brandan Wright, one of the nation’s elite prospects, visited Kentucky over the holiday weekend and has trips to four other colleges planned for September.

Wright, a 6-9 left-handed forward, attended the Kentucky-Louisville football game Sunday and joined current and former Wildcat basketball players at a tailgate party.

Wright also has scheduled visits to Duke (Sept. 16), Vanderbilt (Sept. 23), Louisville (Sept. 30) and North Carolina (Oct. 14). The Wildcats, Tar Heels and Blue Devils have long been considered his leaders.

“Right now, it’s down to five and I’ve given everyone a clean slate,” Wright told CatsPause.com. “I’m going to evaluate every detail of all five schools and just try to find out where the best place for me is as a student and player.

I think I sat next to him in the second half now that I'm thinking about it. Anybody get a picture of him at the game or know what he was wearing? At first I thought he was a UL fan or recruite with the colors he was wearing. I'm not quite sure.

from the link above:

“But Kentucky is very favorable right now. I like the fact that it’s close to home. It’s only about three hours from here, so that would be nice. I like the coaches. I also like the kind of players they’re recruiting and the type of talent that would be surrounding me. You know they’re going to be one of the best teams in the country.”

i agree brandon ... i agree

Brings to mind one of my truisms of recruting. Players are generally the best recruiters for other players. Sounds like Rajon, Bobby, Patrick and company hit a home run with Brandon.
