Asked if this visit helped UK's chances, Wright said: "It really elevates them right now. Everything was great."
From what I hear he's really high on U.K. right now.He still has visits scheduled for Puke and U.N.C.But hopefully this weekend was enough to lock him down.

Let's just hope Coach K doesn't offer posh jobs to Wright's entire family. :?

It is only a success if he inks with us. Until then, it was just a great visit.

Truly. Going first with the visits isn't an advantage as whoever gets the last visit, especially a midnight madness visit would have an edge.

Don't know about that, Paladin. If he attends the Carolina schools during a football weekend, he will not see anything that even comes close to the UK/UofL game for crowd size or fan excitement. So if he compares football weekends, we win. Might not be so on a basketball visit such as MM. Too, I don't like the thought of a half empty Rupp Arena for our MM this year---gonna take a lot away from the MC type of atmosphere that we're used to. Maybe UK will decide to give up the ticket thing for MM (Heresy!!!) and just let people come in on a first come, first served basis. Attendance would probably be better if folks didn't have to go stand in lines to get tickets, even though they are free. And who doesn't know anybody who goes through the lines 6 or 8 times to get their 2-at-a-time tickets?

:cry:I hate being negative, but it seems to me that among the big name guys light B Wright that are also heavily recruited by UNC and Duke, our recruiting wins areso seldom that I just can't get excited about a name player when I see both Carolina schools going hard after him. I'd sure like to see Tubby start taking some of the best rightout from under Tobacco Road's noses.

From the information I have gathered from all fans, not just Kentucky. It would seem as though he is coming to Kentucky. But, Bob is right. It doesn't matter really until we get a commitment. But, it seems like he will be a Wildcat.

I asked you this before.

What players have Duke or UNC taken from us? I guess I'm not familiar with them. I know Ewing went to Duke, Duhon to Duke, Hansbrough to UNC...And who else?

I think it's a myth that we "lose out" to Duke and UNC often. The fact is that the three schools don't recruit against each other very often. Now, it is defitely true that Duke gets who they want, but in head-to-head recruiting battles, we have held our own.

Before '04, there were a lot of "We just can't recruit"-type posts. Tubby went out and pulled off a miracle of a class...and STILL those posts linger.

The facts just don't bear out the worrying. We return three McDonald's All-Americans; we've won an average of almost 28 games a year for the last three years; we've won as many games as anybody in college basketball since 2002. You don't do that if you can't recruit.
