Guys, I work in Hopkinsville, so I get a lot of (rumors) Info about Scotty Hopson. Just curious, where do some of the other posters live near and
what players do you hear (or see) a lot of?

I live in Fern Creek in Louisville and I havent been to any high school game yet. When I start hearing players names I will get out to watch them. I hear Shelby County has a pretty good big guy but dont know anything about him

Saw Shelvin Mack (Bryan Station HS) in a great game against Dunbar. Left impressed with Mack and Dunbar's Nick Hudson. Mack has the build for a D-I level player, but I am just not sure that the fans at Kentucky will think he's enough.
Hudson is going to get a discounted education somewhere, probably the D-II level. He played with fire and scored 23 of Dunbar's 44 points in the first half.

I agree, I think Mack would look good in UK uniform. he is a in-state kid who will stay the 4 years and will fit into Billy C's mode of a tough, wont back down player. Reminds me of Epps with a better offensive game.

I saw a bunch of games this weekend in Pikeville at the farm bureau classic, Darius Miller didn't have his best game, missed a bunch of shots in the lane, but you could tell the kid is real smooth and a great, great passer, that surprised me, his unselfishness. I think he finished with 10 pts. They played Christ Presbyterian Academy, outta Tenn. they had a kid that dropped about 30 on Mason C., junior named Z. Mason, dunking machine in second year of organized ball.
Also was really impressed with Landon Slone from Paintsville, and a kid from Scott County that flat filled it up from long range against a big fast Cincinnati Withrow squad, I think his name was Portwood, or that's what it sounded like on the p. a. system, sorry if that is wrong. he hit 7 or 8 long threes, UK needs a kid that can shoot like that.
