View Full Version : One game at a time not just for the players

I think that now, more so than ever before, the "one game at a time" approach is one that not only the players need to use, but the fans.

Look, I know that this is not where any Kentucky basketball fan wants to be right now, but the unfortunate truth is, we are in a tough position. As the fans of a great program, we need to completely be behind our coach and our team now more than ever, because we still have a long way to go in this season.

The good news is that we have a few games where we can really start a turnaround. Houston is a guard-first team and since that's where we have the most talent at, I think this bodes well for us. If we can pick up a win on the road against a 9-1 squad, that will only give these guys confidence that they are in dire need of.

I'm not suggesting that this team will never lose a game again this season (far from it). But I believe that this four game stretch could be very good for the psyche of this team, starting with Houston tomorrow night. We have to win that one first, and then move on to the next one.

Go big blue!

I did not expect much from UK through 2007. I had hoped they would play better come the first of the year. I must say that they are struggling more than even I thought they would. I did not plan on Jasper and Meeks being out, although I do not see them as guys that could take UK to the top 25. I figured UK would be top 40ish with them.
There is no question that Coach and the players are not fully connecting so far.

I think you have the proper frame of mind. Improve each game. Even with the loss, they improved in some areas. Take it game by game and get better each game.

I agree good post.

This next stretch of games heading into the UL game can certainly swing us out of our "funk" and give this team a boost of confidence heading into a crucial SEC schedule.

:beer:Heres one to a WIN over Houston to get this train rolling.:widcat:
