"His godfather, Tim Green, said that Legion would visit Illinois. But the player’s mother, Annette, said Notre Dame would be the choice."

I thought his mother was pentecostal? Why does she push for catholic schooling?

I don't know but I'm sure she could find a ministry she liked in south bend if she tried hard enough.

I'm just glad he's someone else's problem - what we really need now is to get Meeks and then Jasper back.

According to the radio his mother is saying he is going to ND but he was on the Campus of Illinois today for a visit. Did ND change locations or is she seeing visions of little Irish guys?

By the way, Legion’s mother said she planned to stay in Lexington, where she works as a minister.
“This is where my ministry is,” she said. “This is where my blessing is.”

I wish him the best.
But most of all, I wish him well in finding a way to tell his momma to mind her own business and quit talking to the media.

I hope we learn from this and don't get any more "package" deals. Time to move on and put this behind us. This player is truly strange.

I am both a Notre Dame and Kentucky fan - weird allegiances I know - but comes form growing up rooting for teams that beat my brothers favorties (1 was a Duke fan and the other is some school (FSU??) I cannot remember) I also lived in Lexington during the beginning of the Pitino years. So in theis upside down year where my beloved IRish FB team gets grilled all season and UK FB rockin the SEC and now what looks like a very painful year in UK BBall but at least ND BBall seems to be doing very well. SO either way if this occurs I will be cheering for Legion although he is probably in for a mistake in the way Brey coaches. Either way I want UK to win the next NC and to do that we will need players who want ot be at UK - so I will cheer LEgion and the Irish until they have to face UK!

Hopefully it'll be a better fit for him and his family. Best of luck to the Legions, wish things had worked out better.

I've just been reading about the toughness Coach G requires, and I applaud that, by the way. I must say that Alex seemingly did not possess that, but I would say that Mrs. Legion must have SOME of that IF she indeed remains in Lexington after all that has transpired. That's interesting to me. Yes, naturally, I tend to hope she stays away from other player's parents and the UK bench--if rumors are true, that is.
Also, as DCWildcat just said, good luck to both of them. I, too, certainly wish things had worked out better. GO CATS! GO COACH G1

Good riddance. Take her sideshow with you as the door hits you where the good Lord split you.

I wish Alex all the luck in the world, but I think he made a mistake that he will pay for the remainder of his life. He could have been someone at UK and on to the pros, but I doubt it with ND.
