I think he needs to worry about playing 1st, then worry about starting. In order to play for this coach, its clear you need to show it in practice.

I think the best person to ask that question is the coach and coaching staff who watch him everyday in practice, who work with him during individual instructions. They are the ones with the knowledge of who should or should not play and we either trust them to make the right decisions or we don't. I trust them.

Isn't Williams a center?

We have a 3-4 game stretch, after Houston, that are against very winnable mid-level teams. If we don't see Carter or Willams, the writing may be on the wall.

I think that is a valid point, John.

Coach was quoted last week or the week before as saying Williams was "coming along". If they can't get minutes before UL/SEC play???

Are you going to start one of these for every benched player? Please dont.

IN the big blue madness Williams showed some pretty good low post skills with his jump hook..

I'm not sure if he is athletic enough to okay the man to man defense that billy likes to play..

I think he should get a shot..

He is 7'0 a center and could poosibly play well with Patterson.

While I like Coury I think Stewart, Williams, or Carter should have the chance to start and play enough minutes to let them have the chance to prove something. He puts them in and they make 1 mistake and yanks them out and thats it. They dont even have time to get a feel for the game. Everyone knows you gotta go out and play D a few trips before you start looking for your offense. Get warmed up and into the game. Id love to see what these guys do in a 10 min stretch and maybe even get 20 for the game. Clearly Harris and Coury give us very little. I bet Carter or Williams could get 4 rebounds and 3 points with 5 TOs. Because thats what Coury and Harris give

If he EARNS a spot he will play. THE COACH ALWAYS makes that call, not the fans who never watch any practices and are'nt qualified or paid to make such decisions.

How good are Williams and Carter you ask? They are sitting behind Coury, a slow, walk-on who played a grand total of 20 minutes last season...uggghhh.

Even Harris is getting PT over these two. I had hope for Williams and he may play some down the road but I'm not so sure about Carter.

We arent making any calls or telling coach what to do. Just voicing our opinions. Because thats what fans on message boards do. And our opinion is that Williams and Carter should get more than 30 seconds a game

Based on what, a hunch, the way the bones fell, perhaps the Oaracle of Delphi. The guys that see him everyday don't think he is good enough to play, why do you.
