Too bad...Patterson out, Meeks back. Hmph.
Meeks looks super to have been out as long as he has. Great potential for an inside/ outside game.

Carter...whatever happened, keep it up. Good hustle. four points, 3/ four blocks in the first half. Nice.

Stewart, Stephenson....good hustle, but positioning. Gotta have something.

Rebounding....yuck. Need to get somebody that wants it...no matter what it takes. Always thought rebounding was 25% position, 25% ability,
and 50% 'that's MY ball'.....Izzo is the only coach I ever saw who seemed to be able to teach want to.

Point guard....whew. I am getting a lot of respect for Ramel Bradley. Kid is sacrificing his scoring to try and run this show. Outta place.

Outlook: loss tonight...could be nasty. But potential is there. Healthy Meeks and Patterson, get Jasper back (???)and loosen Bradley up for the 2 guard, things could turn around.

Hate this for the two seniors though. Nasty way to end a career that started with such high hopes.

Things will get better. Late this year, early next. Better, though.

I have thought for one and a half seasons now that our problem is we don't have a point guard. I think that is why BCG has offered the juco kid. Ramel is trying hard but he ain't no point guard. Porter would be much better as well if he didn't have to play the point. They just aren't point guards.

Some make fun of us and our Pollyanish attitudes. Naturally, though, I appreciate your post. :icon_biggrin: Wallowing in gloom and misery is never a good thing. Doing so and ignoring positives is a terrible thing, as I see it.

Too, you are SO RIGHT that those positives existed, regardless of the final score and outcome. We can build on those positives, especially if Jassper returns. Specifically, the threat of an inside game/outside game should be most obvious to fans.

Oh, yes, the rebounding was woeful, and that is disappointing because a lot of rebounding success is indeed who wants it the more (besides blocking out, the lack of which is maddening!). Yet, probably our TWO best rebounders were not on the floor, Patterson AND Jasper. The thought of seeing those two out there with Meeks brings a big SMILE to my face. :icon_biggrin: May it happen! :icon_biggrin: GO CATS! GO COACH G!
