Where I heard all this "Wrong coach, Barnhardt is a fool" rhetoric. It was the Rich Brooks hire!!!!

I knew I had heard it all somewhere before! Wrong coach, bad fit, players not responding, not winning NOW......Yeah, it's all here, just like before.

EXCEPT... Mitch stuck by Brooks, who got HIS system in place and recruited players that would work in that system. And now, the unheard of is happening, UK is winning football games!

Ya' know, I'll bet that it will work out the same with this Gillispie guy. In the mean time, people need to back off on their whinning and crying and give the guy a chance.

You beat me to the punch on this one. Many were howling for Brooks´ head when his OC lined up a 300 LB QB at wideout. And though the OC is no longer with us, Coach Brooks turned into a pretty good hire.

I was dead wrong about Coach Brooks, and I certainly hope I'm wrong about BG.

But let me be brutally honest here. In my opinion, comparing the two is an insult to Coach Brooks, who I consider to be a friend, having gotten to know him over this past year.

Before I would stand the two next to each other and try to do a compare/contrast, I'd do my homework first. Being polite, all I can say is that I believe that the personal lives of the two are as different as night and day and that my own personal opinion here (and that's all it is) is that if Mitch did indeed make a mistake here, it will turn out to be for things happening off the court, not on. Again, I hope he's right and I'm wrong - just like last time! - but in the meantime I'm worried.

Fair enough?

Fair enough?

Fair enough. Time will tell the tale.

So, have you done your homework on Gillispie? Do you know what he does off the court (not based on rumors)? This is a serious question. As I've stated before, I've seen lots of innuendo, but never seen anyone own up to actually having first hand knowledge of Gillispie's off court behavior.

Same here, I've heared a ton of junk about him in the last 2 or 3 weeks.

In other words, since the teams rocky start. An amazing coincidence, huh?
