Now, I'm only 17 so I've seen nothing but success. Two National Championships, 3 final fours, countless SEC Championships, great NBA players. Is there any reason to get bummed over ONE bad start? I know that Billy G hasn't met his expectations or the players aren't playing with heart. But did you guys see Rupp Arena Saturday? My high school can get louder than that with our 200 Capacity gym. Kentucky has always been about winning, and that's why we as fans take it so hard when we start off 5-6, or lose to considerably less-talented programs. Some UK fans need to take a step back and let somebody else have the spotlight for the year. Appreciate what we had, what we will have and what this program will be. For all that we know, this FIU game could be a turning point in the season of Kentucky Basketball. I'm just asking, never give up hope on these boys or the coach. Bleed blue, through and through.

GO CATS!

PS. GO CATS against FSU today!

Well, people understand its a rebuilding of the program with a Pitino like style of play and fans desire that and know that Billy deserves a chance

Agree with you wholeheartedly. Graduated from UK in 1980, moved out of state, and haven't gotten to attend but a handful of games in the last 27 years.....but watch or listen to every game unless there's a death in the family.

Rupp for a long time now has been quieter than my Church during prayer time. Only way I can explain it is that most people have gotten so conditioned to winning that winning itself doesn't mean anything. They gripe and complain when we lose or when we only win by 10 against a low rated team, but have lost the appreciation of winning.

Gripe all we want about BG and this team, the fans also play a part and need to come back to earth and start supporting this team.

So its that forgiveable to lose to Gardner Webb? No, fans complained so much with Tubby because the players done their job in the season except losing to Vandy and Florida and not being able to get to the final four but now this year they have tolerated alot more, so our fans have truly enough talent to beat Gardner Webb, San Diego, and enough to atleast play with the likes of Indiana

No, it's not forgivable to lose to teams we've not even heard of before this season. Even in the BEST years, though, Rupp has been quiet. Quietness at Rupp is not a symptom of this year's poor performance.

Look back over the past 60 years and see how long UK has gone without getting to the Final Four or how rarely a 5-6 start happens. Nobody wants to see our program go the way of UCLA or how the down turns that UL, IU, Kansas, UNC, etc. have had.

So while I agree that we still have a long season ahead of us which could be turned around, I think most of the genuine concern (read "those with a motive other than finger pointing") about the current status is based upon demanding we live up to our tradition and not fall as far out of the national picture as other programs have in the past.

Really? Because, I think that's the big problem. I dont think enough people understand this is a rebuilding. People want results now and arent willing to tolerate mediocrity, while giving Billy G the appropriate time to build this team back up. I for one, am excited for what might be in 3-4 yrs.
