Any doubts I had about him being slow to contribute off of the injury are gone. While he still looks a little hampered, he's getting into nice seams and opening up the entire floor for the offense.

listening on the radio but it seemed like he made a nice pass to Ramel for the and-one 3.

Yeah that one was more about positioning...Jasper found his way into the low block on a smaller guard, so the man on Bradley pulled down into the paint and Jasper hit Bradley at the top of the key.

The kid keeps his eyes moving always. He is looking the floor over as soon as he gets the ball on an inbounds pass. Crisp passing.

A different team with him and Meeks back.

Jasper also pulled down 5 boards and 2 assists...

He's a true point guard. He's not being forced to play out of position or be somebody he isn't. He is a true point guard so he knows how to handle an offense, he knows how and when to make the right pass, and he knows how to limit his mistakes. He is what this team has really needed.

Jasper and Meeks make a major difference in this team. For the first time this season we got to see our best five basketball players on the floor together for extended minutes, Jasper, Meeks, Crawford, Bradley and Patterson. Jasper gives the team a totally new dimention they have not had thus far this season.

I didn't want to make it look like he would be a savior, but the team does look different when he is dribbling the ball. His rebounding is a HUGE bonus.

Also, it gives a guy like Michael Porter a chance to really shine.

Mike is not a starter. That's certainly not a knock on him or his abilities, but some players are starters and some aren't. Michael's role seems to fit more in line with that of a player who can come in for 3-4 minutes at a time to give the starters a rest. He doesn't have to shoulder so much burden now, and thus, probably won't make as many mistakes.

this is all good news. wish I could be watching this thing. I'll just listen and keep thinking about the better days ahead. Like someone said, if we can keep our top 6 healthy, we will win some ball games.

This is why I always hated the whole talent argument...with everyone healthy this will put players like stevenson, harris, porter and even coury to an extent in the positions they need to be to be successful...it is just like the reds bullpen..signing a new closer will put guys like weathers in their natural positions and make the whole stronger.

Jasper's presence is also making Bradley and Crawford play much better.

FSN South.

Insight Channel 55 perhaps? Not 100% sure.

I'm relegated to listening at work on the internet. :icon_neutral:

I have been able to watch the entire game on Sports South. I realize FIU is not good at all but we are going to beat by a significantly larger margin than did miami or purdue, both of which have good teams. NO I am not saying we want to be compared to these two schools but man there is some improvement over the SD game. If we can continue this play things may just start looking up. And oh ya BG has had a high five and several pats on the back!

Didn't the Reds have the worst bullpen in MLB last year? Uk's not that bad are they? JK, I see your point

he got alot of time in, so that injury has got to be feeling alot better and although we were playing fla. int. i was glad to see him hit the boards like he did and really look to patterson, i was also glad to the lineup that everybody desired

I haven't seen the game yet (have it on tivo) but sounds like we played 100% better w/ Jasper out there. Man I hope this is a gos sign! Has to be a boost of confidence to beat a team by 50. I hope this carries over to the U of L game Sat.

Jasper certainly made a big difference, but don't forget Meeks got twenty today and gave us a fourth scorer which is something we have desperately needed. Double downing on Patterson does not look as inviting as it once did with Bradley, Crawford and Meeks capable of hitting the three. And Jasper hit his only three of the day. Hopefully, a new beginning.

Great to see an unselfish player leading the offense - makes a huge difference. Coach G even made him shoot technical free throws to try and get him to score more - but he's a pass 1st player - made Morris much better last year and will do the same with PP as the season goes on. He seems like the only guard on the roster that can make a post entry pass and did a great job yesterday guarding guys of equal height in the post.

As we turn things around, hopefully the selection committee will pay more attention to conference play with a healthy roster rather than the first third of the season being banged up. A win vs the Cards would at least give us one gold star on the March Madness resume.
