You are absolutely right. I havent posted anything negative about the coach and the way he has handled the team, but I dont have a problem with anyone who has either. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it is a message board after all. My problem is the people who feel they need to start threads just to mock other posters because they disagree with them.

Why is anyone even thinking of questioning the coach at this point? This year is gonna be bad more than likely...let him get some recruits that can play his style then we will see. We gave Tubby several years lets give this coach more than half a season.

What is it? It is during the seaon. If Heretic were around, he could vouch for my sentiment regarding bashing the coach during the season. It is nothing constructive and shows an inability to hold anything for any length of time (re: only 11 games in). Kind of like a teenager on date. Want to show some credibility? Address it after the season, until then wait, support, and observe.

Then again, there is little proof of who any of the new posters are and even if they are differing people or one person with one agenda.

Exactly right!! Well said! But, one thing these struggles have done is expose the pretenders.

Even if BCG was the wrong hire, there is no way in the world to know it after 12 games.

Look, I am more on your side of this topic than I am the questioning Gillispie side. You are right about the personal attacks, they shouldnt be tolerated at all, but my point is this...someone starting this thread to mock the people who are questioning Gillispie is far from constructive as well. It is only helping to further divide the fanbase which is certainly not needed. Now I know someone will say I am overreacting to this, but I see some double standards at times.

I couldn't agree more. I wonder how many of our recent BCG bashing "additions" were some of the same who kept saying that the program hadn't slipped under Tubby. Or that we should have gotten Ford or Pelphry. And I wonder if some of these new posters are the same miserable middle school kid with too much time on his hands at Christmas break. Some of them sound exactly the same.

I took it as sarcasm, as well. But I understand why Catscan got so upset. This board has just not been the same the last several weeks. There have always been people who didn't agree, but things were good-natured, in general. It's a shame to see the abrasive agenda-posters ruining this site. They are the ones who really need to read Catscan's post.

I took it as a joke, thus the poster's inclusion of a winking icon. Careful reading will show that it said "there was offensive flow, etc.", it's not a BG bash... I realize you understand that, but it was misunderstood earlier by someone else. It was a compliment to BG and the team. The only reason the above post was quoted is because it made an important point. Some, not all, of those who are new to the board need to be reminded again that things generally are good-natured here. People disagree, agree, discuss, ask, inform, whatever...but they do it in a civil way.
