So, with Meeks and Jasper returning to form and assuming all players are on their way to 100% healthy, we have a dilemma. Who now is our best starting five????
I once heard a coach say you should start your best five players - regardless of position. (That is, you design an offense and defense around the best five players.) This is starting to make more sense to me but can we really succeed with a four-guard line-up?
Arguably, our best five players are:
Meeks
Jasper
Bradley
Crawford
Patterson
(. . and would BG really consider this?)

hopefully, it will depend on who we're playing against. you want the best matchup.

I was about to post this.
I definitely think BG would consider the lineup in the first post; we ran that for a good long while in the latter part of the first half against FIU.

to me it would depend on your best players matchups to me shouldnt matter you gotta have players who will take over the game and score and have good defense now i'm not sayin put 6'1 porter on a 6'8 guy but that is where havin a 6'6 gaurd in jasper and one coming in with a 6'6 liggins is goin to come in handy

Also, isn't Darius Miller like 6'7" or 6'8"? I wouldn't be surprised to see him makes as much as an impact as Liggins. Then again, we can't use either one of them this year:icon_sad:

some reports have darius at 6'6 or 6'7 but yeah with tall gaurds like that and i mean we will have 3 awesome gaurds at 6'6 or higher that is just unreal...we could run a 3 or 4 gaurd lineup all the time...I cant wait...and I think hopson is 6'4 or 6'5

Most recent news about Hopson would lead you to believe he won't be a wildcat. It seems like he might not be the type of player for our coach but we will have to wait and see...

Is Caracter going to be starting? I saw him warming up before the UL-UC game but didn't see that (or any other) UL game.

I'd say it's whomever has the best practice. You don't really think that BG is going to change his philosophy, now do ya? So look for Coury to start.

lol, we could have a lineup with Meeks as our shortest and Patterson as our tallest...I love it.

Those are definitely the best 5, but I have no problem with one of these coming off the bench....again depending on the match ups.....and I firmly believe in the idea that it matters most who is in there at the 10 minute mark in the game.....

Also with Jasper at 6' 6" he can play as a "big" guard on defense covering one of the forwards....so, yeah a 4 guard line up, but with some height.
