I know this really doesn't have anything to do with UK, but after watching some of his presser I couldn't help but like him. I loved when he said he would never leave WVU and if he wasn't getting it done they wouldn't have to tell him. More importantly, I believed him.

Seems like a win for the good guys. And he was having more fun than anyone in the whole stadium last night.

Great guy but I feel that it will hurt WVU in the long run. A players coach is great for the short term but horribe in the long run (i.e. Barry Switzer).

Well, the coach got a huge endorsement from that guy with the mohawk, I can't recall his name, but he said that WVU would be stupid not to hire Stewart as their coach.

the guy seems like a downhome guy that will talk so give him time and he will get some recruits, plus in that interview on espn news i had just flipped over on the tv and i couldn't turn it, this guy can talk and you just like to listen to him

A far cry from what the "experts" are saying. I have heard nothing but repeated slams against the guy because the only HC experience he has is leading VMI to something like a 9-25 record while he was there. Still, he deserves the shot and they definitely didn't miss a beat in whipping up on the Sooners.

Did anyone see the WV booster that came out and said that this guy is in over his head and that West Virginia football will falter? Oh, but he also wants the best for the program.

Gee, thanks.

I was shocked to see the quote up on ESPNews and then it had the boosters name attached to it. Joe Schad with ESPN was credited with talking with the booster guy.

Wasn't the booster the Arizona Diamondbacks GM? I saw something to that effect on ESPN yesterday.

Huh?

A player's coach does not build a program. :thumbdn:

I don't know as I agree with that but to each his own.
