I'm pro playoff, not because it would benefit UK or the SEC, or help or hurt anyone else, but simply because, in my opinion, it's the most fair and accurate way to crown a true national champion. Having said that, I don't expect to see a playoff system in D1 fb in my lifetime (I'm 63).

8 teams, 1 bowl, 3 wins to the title
simple

But not simple to get the powers that be to put it in place.

But having our divisions playoff for title risks the best team not getting to BCS title game because our second best team usually dang close to the best & can win in a mild upset, unlike in the B10, and requires our champ to play an extra game. So I don't see the help a single game has versus the SEC likely having two teams in an 8-team BCS playoff.

I was referencing Auburn not getting to the BCS after going undefeated in 2003 after the media in its wisdom decided Oklahoma was better.
