Native of Seattle area. Forward who hasn't defined himself as a wing or inside player yet. Transferred to Findlay Prep for his senior year. Has some roots in Arkansas. Averaged 15 points as a junior for Gig Harbor.
Biography: Explosive athlete with a fairly high skill level. Outside shot needs work, but he shows all the signs of being an elite prospect.

Coldstream, do you know about our interest with him and vise versa?
There are two Scout pages on this kid. He's also listed as a four star PF here:
http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=3290109
They also list his high school incorrectly. He plays for Findlay Prep, same school as Liggins and one-time UK recruit Deividas Dulkys.
Goes to show how unreliable these things are.
His rivals page (showing him as a 3 star SF) is here: http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=34369&sport=2
Assuming rivals only has one page on him, of course.

Coach Cyp is all over this kid. He was at the game last night. Freak athlete. Hes big and unbelievably mobile. Plays great defense and tries to make every play. Had a block and dunk on one play in that game last night that was as good as any I've ever seen in HS.

Good to hear. Also liked hearing this from Liggins:
The 6-8 Trent, who just before the season reclassified from the Class of 2008 to the Class of 2009, had 17 points and seven rebounds.
He also had two eye-catching dunks, including a windmill and one-handed slam after blocking a shot, cuffing it in mid-air and dribbling coast to coast for the dunk.
"That's all of the time," Liggins said of the highlight-reel plays by Trent. "I'm trying to get him to come to Kentucky with me. I think he wants to come (to UK), but I don't know; he's pump-faking."

We badly need a big man commitment. May Mr. Trent become a Cat in the future! :)

We sure do, Poodoo. But, even though I would like to see Trent in a UK uniform the young man is only 6'7" and 200 lbs. I would love to see us land a kid that is as talented as Trent but be more like 6'11 and 270 lbs, wouldn't you? :)

How about 7'4 310 pounds with a 43 inch vertical? Who can shoot the 3 with NBA range

I probably SHOULD have said a "FRONTCOURT" player. :icon_lol: I had been thinking of Trent as a forward, not as a truly big man.
I could have sworn that I had read 6'8," rather than 6'7," though, in a CJ article. That may have merely been wishful thinking, of course. :icon_lol: I strongly feel we need more players in our frontcourt, and I STILL want Mr. Trent to become a Cat. :)

THERE it is, freethrow. I had begun to think that I was really getting old. :icon_mrgreen: Seriously, though, we do need some more 6'8" guys who can play! :)
Too, I just read that Trent may end up playing inside. FWIW, I had already put him there! :icon_lol:

Trent is an example of what Coach G is looking for - an athletic guy. I would love to see him in a UK uniform in 2009.
:widcat::widcat: Go CATS!!!!!

WOW:shock: I wonder if his fundamentals are not as good as they should be or something because with that athleticism, I can't think of another reason he wouldn't be a 5 star recruit.

His profile shows 2 stars but they go on to mention he could be an elite prospect. Regardless, Imagine him in the Blue and White and what he can do for next years squad. He's got to be on our short list of must haves.

Ive seen them play twice and he was far and away the most impressive prospect in both games. Non Stop Motor. Not much of a hump shooter but he can handle the ball, pass, score, and plays fantastic defense on the perimeter and interior. Really strong kid.
Coach C has been on this kid hard. He was at both games I attended and I chatted with the staff at the LCA game. They really think he has unreal potential.

the DR BCG needs to order...I think these kind of kids are who we need.....IMO not 7sters that have no athletic ability at all. (Not a crack on our current players just the truth. Watching all the ACC games last night..Puke v FSU and NC v GTech...these teams have athletes...none of which are over 6-9 and if you missed the game...both were very close games.
2nd....that dunk off a miss on his Highlight video is just NASTY!!!

seems like if he developed more of a stroke he could turn into an antonio mcdyess pre-knee injury
He must be doing well, hes a 4 star now. Like that really means anything :)
