What would Joker do if he were told he was Brooks' successor in 4 years and then he was offered a coaching job at a school like Memphis.

Would he be wise to wait or would he be wise to take the job.

I'll start by saying that if it's good job, take it. You don't know if you'll be good in 4 years or fired.

Just curious as to why you used Memphis as an example?

Just a school of that size might offer Joker, that's all. Obviously, he wouldn't get a job at a Georia, Tennessee etc. Memphis has had some success but is mid-level - Tulsa, Bowling Green etc.

I think that if UK is willing to put their signature to it, he's stick it out at UK, otherwise, go to where the offer is.

I'm curious, how many think that a school would be willing to make such promise 4-5 years in advance? It's a huge risk, IMO. During that time we could easily have problems, less than NCAA issues, that would have either the fans or administration reconsidering, in fact, we could just as easily have a different AD who would prefer another candidate.

Not to say that Joker isn't a good choice, just to point out the gamble that would be involved any why it's unlikely that UK would take that route. IMO, he leaves and we'd be lucky to get him back.
