We've not had lots of good luck this year, but losing to Florida (as I mentiioned a few days ago before our game with the Gators) was probably a good piece of luck for the Cats---especially now that the Gamecockshave doneit to the Vols.

Now tomorrow in one game there will be two mid-level teams from the east in one game and then the two best teams in the conference will be playing each other when the Bengal Tigers and Gators go at each other---of course I'm assuming that Florida will beat Arkansas later tonight. And if ArkansasIS in fact the hottest team in the league right now, my point still holds. We're having the best possible of opportunities, including playing Bama today rather than one of the other top 4 SEC teams. Who would have thought that wins over Ole Miss, Bama and USC could get one to the championship game? Or who would have thought we'd beat Bama when we played as poorly as we did for most of today's game?

Maybe we just had more fingers and cats' paws crossed than any other team.

Yeh, I've never quite seen the stars line up like they have in this tournament. Seems like all the "stronger" regular season teams got paired up together. Great for us. :thumbup

I don't think we necessarily "played poorly." Our defense was AWESOME and we actually had open shots through the first 3/4 of the game - they just weren't falling. It was only a matter of time before they did. . . I'm just glad they came in the nick of time.

For the record, UK just doesn't match up well against UF, this season. I'm rooting for UF to lose.

Agree with you here Bret. Holding a team down to the low 30%s in shooting has to be good. Looked like a very good game to me, especially when the shots started to fall. It was the kind of gameTubby's goodteams can do toother teams. It makes the statement, "We can beat youeven without our offense."

Also how is it that the two top teams are FL and LSU, I thought TN was the other top seed. Did I get that wrong? FL only came in second in our conference didn't they?

I think it would be fair to say that the two toughest matchups for us are LSU and Florida (although Vandy may think they deserve a piece of that action:?). Clearly, Tennessee earned the top seed.
