...David Lockwood apparently headed back to West Virginia according to Rob Gidel. Just heard him on WVLK AM. No more information at this time. :icon_frown:

Yeah, but he also said, if I heard him correctly, that two outstanding defensive backs are coming in for a visit this weekend and that might effect their decisions. :icon_sad:

If he does leave I hope Coach Brooks will call Wes McGriff...Wes did a fine job while here and the players really liked him..Bring him back..

When I read this disappointing news, I remembered reading in the Cats' Pause about a young man who is very interested in the Cats and had specifically mentioned Coach Lockwood. I just checked out the article.

The young man is Jamal Mosley, a tight end who had previously verballed to Ole Miss. He is, reportedly, visiting this weekend. He has known Lockwood from his junior year, and his coach and Lockwood have bben friends for a long time, according to the article.

I thought our defensive backs showed a lot of strong play this season (and particularly at the bowl game). Also, Coach Lockwood is so personable and seemed to get along with the players really well. I hate to see him leave, but wish him the best. Thankfully, Coach Brooks has seemengly done quiye well in replacing coaches, though.
