On the positive side of things, the main man, coach Steve Brown, having been the architect of our new and improved more aggressive and more physical defense remains. I also have a feeling that he helped quite a bit with the coaching up of our young DBs over the past couple of years as that was the position he played so well in both college and the pros.
My gut tells me we're going to get somebody really good and we'll be in great shape next year. In the meantime, good luck and thanks to Coach Lockwood.

Good post, bluescat. Also, I hate to see Coach Lockwood leave, but I thank him for the job he did this past season and wish him the best of luck at West Virginia.

I would have preferred that he leave for a promotion, not a lateral move at the same position. But, it is his alma mater and I can fully understand that situation. I wish him the best of luck in his career and many wins, unless he coaches against the Cats in a bowl game.

There's an article in today's H-L speculating that coach Brooks may try to get this guy from Tulane that coach Brooks has Oregon and Atl. Falcon ties with.
