I honestly wouldn't mind if they just go ahead and sit him out. I'm pretty sure he can still red-shirt. It's just not worth injuring him worse.

If he does not redshirt soon, by the end of the season, Jasper will be in traction.

No way you redshirt Jasper.....he is playing well......yes he is hurt, but no logical reason to redshirt.....

Well, if it prevents career ending injury, then it's quite logical to me. However, I guess there isn't any way to predict that. I just don't want to see him get hurt again, as I believe that he can improve to a point where he could make his living in the pros.
Same logic as not played DA in '97.

A sprain can sometimes heal pretty quick and also can linger on for months. Tough break but I was thinking he may be lost for the year with a tear. I am thankful its not worse.

In order for a medical hardship, the student athlete cannot play in more than 20% of the games, and none in the second half of the season.

In that case, the decision will have to be made fairly soon if it comes to that.
