When I tuned in yesterday to discover that Gus Johnson was our play by play man, I was thrilled. He is my favorite in the business right now. What does everyone else think?

As I mentioned in two other posts, he and Kellogg are my favorites and I believe one of the least biased broadcasting crews on the national scene.

I wonder if their emails are available on CBSsportsline to send them a note of encouragement and gratitude for being so consistent?

It would be fine with me if he called everyone of our games

Johnson has a great voice and calls a good game. Kellogg bugged me when he first started but he also calls a pretty good game.

Gus Johnson is almost universally loved by college basketball fans, and most people seem to like Kellogg. By contrast, Billy Packer is almost universally loathed, and I haven't heard anyone express a strong opinion either way on Jim Nantz.

So this begs the question: Why is Packer-Nantz the #1 team on CBS while Gus Johnson isn't even in the top 4 teams (at least he wasn't last year because he didn't do any games after the Ohio State vs. Xavier game in the 2nd round of the Tournament)? Does CBS go strictly by seniority and not listen to fan letters, media critics, or conduct focus groups?

Gotta love Gus. He has such enthusiasim and is really unbiased. He seems to enjoy watching the games just as much as the fans do.

Kellog(sp?) is one of my favorites as well. Having them together was great and hopefully we will get them another time or two this year!

Gus Johnson and Kellogg are great. I like Bill Raftery and Jay Bilas too. Gus is by far the most exciting especially during upset games in the NCAA tourney

What are you supposed to think about someone who just calls the game, doesn't go on rants, stays on topic and seems to have no agenda? I love it.

I started a post yesterday saying Gus Johnson was the best play by play guy in the Nation. The guy gives me goose bumps...........

Normally I don't really for Gus Johnson's PBP style of almost yelling. But yesterday he seemed to tone it down from what I remember in the past and really enjoyed his and Kellog's game.Certianly better than Packer, anytime.
