UK has two tough road games this week. Mississippi State is always a tough place to play and the gym will be packed with screaming fans. Jamont Gordon poses a problem for UK as he is a solid 6-4 guard who averages over 17 points, 6 boards, and 4.4 assists. Rhodes and Varnado both average over 7 boards a piece so they are a very good rebounding team. Varnado also seems to be a pretty good shot blocker averaging 4.7 blocks a game.

This will be a tough test but I see UK winning.

Then Florida is next and you no how crazy that place will be. lets get the monkey off our back on Tuesday, and then get another monkey off our back come Saturday.

Lets Go CATS!!!!

It will take two more great efforts, but how sweet it would be to into the UT game 3-0. We also can't be looking forward to the Florida game either. Miss. State will be tough, but I think we can do it. I'm sure Coach is already becoming very acclimated with them and is wearing the tapes out

Go Cats!

I think I heard that Rhodes has been injured and not played in the last few games. Or maybe I dreamed it.

I just don't see us losing to Florida this season (I believe our experience wins out)

I think alot will depend on WHO is playing for us. We are a MASH unit right now, and that really sucks.

Florida has a pretty hefty game on Wednesday as they play at Ole Miss. I'm betting that the Gators are coming off a loss when the play UK on Saturday. Ole Miss is the real thing.

This will be a tough week. I sure would like to see a healthy Jodi Meeks back. We will know soon enought if we've turned the corner.

Well, I thought we'd be 0-3 going into the UT game, so we've already exceeded expectations.

A split in this week's games would be HUGE; and would, like Rockober says, get one of the many monkeys off of our backs.

I'm starting to see it, though. Certain players are finally realizing where they belong in BCG's system, and the team as a whole is becoming better because of it. 2-0 this week is NOT out of the question, and you KNOW Rupp will be rockin' next Tuesday night.

As Bret Michaels said so eloquently in a late 20th century classic, we need something to believe in. This team gave it to us this week.

UK should EXPECT to win at Starkville, and swamp-land. It will require focus and determination, but isn't that something Wildcats teams should always incorporate in their performance? Yes! This is Kentucky Basketball, the greatest program of all time. Nothing is beyond this team...just perform with determination and focus, and that's all we fans can ask.

Although Dietric Slater and the Delk twins are gone, we can't turn it over 20+ times against their defense. I'll say 'dogs by 10 at home.

Well it worked last Saturday didn't it?

Have we heard for sure that Meeks and Jasper are both unavailable for tomorrow's game?

:icon_sad: Man, I hope not.

I don't know what the players are thinking, perhaps they expect to win every game. As far as they should expect to win the next two games, and this being Ky. bb, let's not forget this isn't your typical UK bb team.

We have our free thow lining up game down pat. Not a cheap shot folks that play still has me steaming almost a year later.

This game will be hard as Kentucky spent alot of physical and mental energy on Saturday and will not have a home crowd on Tuesday to draw energy from. The Seniors need to step up and take control of this game and show the younger players how to compete on the road in the SEC.

As I was listening to the pregame shows, I heard them mention how poorly the officials handled that situation last season. Even lighthouse, who normally defends the officials, was quite aggravated.

I also remember how Coach Stansbury essentially controlled the officials and influenced them to handle the situation incorrectly. It always aamzed me that more here were not "steamed" at the officials who did OUR Cats wrong (and, yes, a mistake was made by a former player and our former coach, BUT most national commentators even agreed UK should not have been penalized as they were, as the mistake quite commonly occurs and the officials simply allow the movement and begin again when the two actions are simultaneous) or at Stansbury's role in the outcome. As I see it, how one felt about the current coach should have been irrelevant. It was OUR Cats who were, according to most, not fairly treated.

For me, a win over Stansbury's team in MSU would be all the sweeter because of what had occurred last season. I would never have mentioned the incident, but since it has been brought up, those are my feelings on the matter. GO CATS! BEAT MSU!
