Chip Cosby's UK Football Notebook from today's LHL.

UK hosted eight prospects this weekend for the home basketball game with Vanderbilt.
Those in attendance included three-star dual-threat quarterback Randall Cobb. The Wildcats are trying to hold on to the Alcoa, Tenn., product, who has committed to UK but is considering an offer from Tennessee. Replacing Lockwood
Kentucky Coach Rich Brooks is looking for a secondary coach after David Lockwood resigned this week to take a similar post with West Virginia, his alma mater.
One of the first names to pop up on Internet message boards as a possible replacement for Lockwood was Mike Cassity, a UK letterman who was the defensive coordinator at Louisville for the past four year before being let go by Steve Kragthorpe after the Cards' disappointing 6-6 season.
But Brooks will probably head in another direction. One name to keep an eye on is Thom Kaumeyer, who is the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Tulane.
Kaumeyer played for Brooks at Oregon in 1987 and 1988 and was the defensive quality-control coach and assistant secondary coach for the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons while Brooks was in Atlanta as the defensive coordinator.

ImforKY,
Thanks for the info. That's a great article by Chip Cosby and it really sounds like we're in line to get some great kids.

D.J. Stafford, the four-star defensive end from LaGrange (Ga.) who signed with UK last February, is attending Harmony Prep School in Cincinnati, where he played in the fall after not qualifying for freshman eligibility.
Harmony Coach David Pool said Stafford plans to enroll at Kentucky in the summer if he completes his academic requirements during the spring semester.

This is encouraging news, too...
