good news: No more Noah
bad news: at UF.

Now I really hope we beat Florida at least once, Twice would be sweet but once would be good. You know what I mean?

I would love to beat them sat for two reasons...
1) to end the streak
2) so pp can show lucas that he chose poorly

We better concentrate on getting past Miss. St. before we begin worrying about UF. State won't be a push over, especially at Starkville.

you guys got the right Idea state is 11-5 with losses to clemson, southern Illinois, miami (OH),miami (FL), and south Alabama and South Alabama is 13-3 so 4 of the 5 losses are to teams in the top25

Mississippi St. will be a really tough game. If we win at MSU, then this team might be for real. We will have to see...

Besides Looserville this is the one team that I want to beat the most, mainly because of Billy D! Wow I can't stand that guy

Some of you might enjoy reading this. :widcat:

ATLANTA -- Chicago Bulls rookie Joakim Noah was benched for Sunday's 105-84 loss to the Atlanta Hawks -- by his teammates.

They delivered a unanimous vote after the rookie from Florida was involved in a confrontation with assistant coach Ron Adams in practice before Friday's game at Philadelphia.

While I totally agree with this about coaches and players. I always laugh when I hear this from the fans perspective. As if fans looking ahead somehow means a thing.

While I agree fans looking ahead isn't going to have a direct impact on the next game, it just makes me wonder how some fans can skip the next game as if it's already in the "w" column. Just because we beat Vandy doesn't automatically mean we have arrived. Are you going to be looking forward to the UF game as enthusiastically if we should lose to State?

I would love to think it doesn't either, but if the whole fan-base does this, it does create an atmosphere that is conducive to overlooking an opponent. The players must interact with the student body and residents of Lexington during their time here, and you know those sentiments can rub off.

Hopefully these outside influences can be reduced by the mental toughness Coach is working hard to develop in our team.

Look at how Colts fans were predicting toppling the Patriots in Foxboro next week before the game yesterday, and then their team "forgot" to take care of San Diego. Fans looking ahead may or may not affect team performance, but it does make them and the team seem foolish if they lose the game they're looking over.

Fans looking ahead has NO impact on the game whatsoever. We can talk about the Florida game, next week's Tennessee and USC games, and heck, even the SEC tourney. Won't matter.

As long as fans still show up and cheer at the designated times/places (i.e. this Tuesday, at Starkville, 8:00 central), the team will be OK.

Florida has been at the top of my list (and no, it's not the good list) since about the mid-point of last season. I want us to beat them as much as I've ever wanted to beat another group. And not just beat them; beat them hard.

I was just about to post a similar thought... our thinking ahead has nothing to do with the game. We are certainly allowed to do so.

On my PS2 game. I whipped Florida 70-55. Let's hope it's for real Saturday. Honestly this will be my weekend, Kentucky beating Florida and A Packers-Patriots Super Bowl. Or Pats lose.

The streak ends... in Lexington in March, not Saturday.

UK can beat UF. I watched UF last night. They aren't that good. Just play tough D on their perimeter guys and UK can win.

I would love to see Patterson crush that lil' 'Minnie Me' Lucas.
