I take it all back. When Thomas, Perry, Orbzut, and Alleyne are the seeds that you plant, you can fully expect to hang championship banners in3-4 years.Fear not, all is well. :nada:

Here we go again. It's funny how nobody says anything like this when the team wins. When the end result is a loss, it's much easier to critisize and point the finger. I'll tell you what, recruiting has nothing to do with guarding a three point shot, which is ultimately what did this team in.
It's also funny how the tides change so suddenly on the players. Bobby had a great game yesterday, and people were giving him a lot of credit. He even hit the shot that gave us the lead for good against Bama. Shagari comes in yesterday and was a game changer, and was a big reason why this team was even in the position it was in to play today. But when things are bad, forget about all of that other stuff, don't remember that those players were key elements to even playing a game on this day. Please.

Calm down, I'm just venting a little after a heartbreaking loss -- hardly a foreign concept on a message board. I fully support the team, but we just don't have the horses to compete on a national level any more, and I'm sick of it. Do you feel good about next years senior class? Do you think it is UK caliber? Do you think the program is on an upswing? Do we still deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with benchmark programs such as UNC, Duke, and UCONN? I don't have all the answers, but I certainly have the right to express my frustration.

"you can fully expect a bumper crop of mediocrity in 3-4 years. This is next years' senior class, and this is embarrassing"
There is a way of going about "venting after a hearbreaking loss" but that's pretty harsh statement. I never once said you didn't have the "right to show your frustration", but putting specific people down and saying they are embarrassing is a pretty defeating and derrogatory comment. I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate hearing you say something like that, I know I don't.
And to answer yourquestion, no we don't deserve to bementioned with UCONN, DUKE, Memphis or any of the other exceptional teams. We are definately struggling this year, but lets look forward to the tourney...it's all we have left

None of the players mentioned lost this game. USC plays all juniors and seniors and they played a very solid game with very few turnovers or bad shots. They deserved the win.

Harsh, yes. But there is truth in that statement.

IMO we lost, but didn't get beat. IMO there's a difference, definately a "L" nonetheless. but they played their behinds off all week, played with more fire and intensity than i feel they have all year IMO...that in and of itself is an accomplishment for the way this season has gone, and true, we have the big dance coming up.....as far as today i thought we pushed the 3 way too much for a team that has been inconsistent and sub par at it all year....we've gotten better at FT's...i think one big factor with obrzut is that he always holds the ball away from himself almost on his fingertips when he rebounds he never clutches it to himself and it drives me bananas! we have the tallest player to ever play at UK in alleyne, i would think they would get every oppurtunity they could to help him be a better center. my Lord, he's there on a b-ball scholarship and he's bigger than a tree and he never plays, games like yesterday show us he has it in him. i know grades and scholastics may be playing a factor, but geez. oh well, that's the story of this season, leaks in the dam of all shapes and sizes and places...really thought they'd pull this one out too....but oh well, tomorrow's another day...and nonetheless...GO CATS! GEAR UP FOR THE BIG DANCE!
