I noticed that there are no centers with an offer for next year. Do we stand any chance at landing a true center for next year? Does anyone know if there are any JUCO centers that we could possibly get? I honestly think that a big man to help Patterson in the post would be a HUGE help. Patterson does a great job and I am not knocking him at all, but when he has a bad game ( example UL and Miss St ) we have no post presence. Just curious if there has been any talk of that, hadnt been on here in a while and trying to catch up.

We're looking at some JUCO's and also still looking at Leonard Washington (PF). I doubt we'll get a "true" center for next year though. Coach was a little bit late getting here to get a great start on the big man studs of the 2008 class.

Yeah, seems like the centers always get picked up the fastest in recruiting, plus there's just not as many of them. I'm hoping Coach G brings in someone from overseas.

I'd take Washington and be happy with that for next year. But there might be defections due to coaching changes (crosses fingers for John Brady- J'Mison Morgan lol), or there's occasionally the late bloomer whose stock sky-rockets.

Don't know about anyone for next year, but I sure would like to sign Daniel Orton for the following year.

Beginning to wonder if CBG really wants what most of us consider a center. His style seems to lend itself more to what us older fans recall as Louisville's Crum-style player....6'8, 6'9 players that can run all night and pretty good leapers.

I agree with this. If a team runs and presses the way we want you need more athletes and not so much size. Just need to block out and rebound. I would rather have a 6'9" player how can leap.

Not intending to slam Gillispie but one would think he would already have some relationships with players before he came to UK.

Different program = Different players.

Yeah, and it's almost impossible to tell where the recruiting situation is anyway. Coach is keeping his recruiting cards close to the vest so to speak. Not NEAR as many leaks about recruits as there were under OTS. He does a LOT of recruiting so there may be bunches of more recruits that we don't know about then there are those that we do.

Patterson will probably end up playing center and Trent, if he commits, will play the 4
