It hard to beat a team three times in a year. USC has not played up to their potential this year. Their season has been a disappointment, but it is hard to beat a team three times. Especially one that is playing for an invite to the big dance.

I don't buy it! It used to be that we played every SEC team twice a season and then had to face some of them again in the SEC tournament... we've been beating teams 3 times a season for decades!

ok, and I just sed:lol:it's nothing more than an excuse. UK lost because the truth is that this squad just isn't as good as other teams that we've put on the court in recent years. IMO, there's no need to create excuses for that. In previous years we would've wiped the floor with a team like USC at this stage of the tournament and it wouldn't be because we only played them once during the regular season.

Was he making an excuse or stating a fact? I don't think he said it had never been done, I think he said it was difficult.

I didnt say thats why we lost , thats why i sed i didnt get to see the second half cause i really couldnt tell u why we lost cause i havent watched it yet, was just sayin tuff to win three times against somebody especially where we have been so up and down this season.

I think that saying that it's tough to beat a team 3 times in a season is an excuse for not winning. IMO, beating a team like USC, who isn't an NCAAtournament team, shouldn't be difficult for a normal UK caliber team, even if it is the 3rd time that we've faced them this season.

I agree it is difficult to beat a good team three straight times. Odom coached a very good game and USC dictated the tempo in the first half and toward the end. UK did not take advantage of having a deeper bench and a tired USC team. We settled for too many outside jumpers. USC played decent d and coaxed UK into taking some of those.

Morris needs to touch the ball more and Rondo needs to penetrate in the paint more.When these things happen, UK usually scores.

I would say that even when we beat a team three times in one year, it is usually a difficult task. When we win and say it, it is not excuse, just a fact.

I do not see the difference.

It was a neutral court with loser leaving town and thats all it boils down to. There is just a total lack of chemistry with this team. Its like they don't know how to play with one another.

I agree that Odom coached a very good game today. He flat out out coached Tubby today. His post defense, other than a very few times, was very effective. His team controlled the tempo and didn't make many turnovers. They also didn't let KY get into any kind of flow and suckered them into taking poor shots.
