At this point of the recruiting season, it's not just about who you add, but who you hold on to, and the University of Kentucky came through with a big save this week.
Alcoa, Tenn., athlete Randall Cobb reaffirmed his commitment to UK after visiting the campus for the Vanderbilt basketball game.
The UK staff is putting most of its focus on the defensive side of the ball. Cedar Grove, Ga., defensive end Gerald Rivers visited last weekend and is ready to commit, according to his coach, Ray Bonner.
Kentucky also needs help at receiver, and its primary target, Henry Clay's Aaron Boyd, visited Missouri this weekend. Boyd won't announce his decision until signing day, however. UK already has offers out to several other receivers including three-star prospects Matt Roark from Kennesaw, Ga., and Memphis Whitehaven's Marcus Rucker. Miami product Eric Ademayi and Atlanta's Corey Heard have also received offers. Fullerton (Calif.) junior-college prospect Marquis Avery has also expressed interest in UK.
