But he's committed to UK at WR as of tonight.

Bus is filling up, WR's.

Found this:

Interested Schools: Ole Miss, Kentucky, FIU, Western Michigan, Baylor, Minnesota, Rutgers, UCF

- Wide receiver at Southridge (Miami) who is not used to the best of his abilities because the Spartans rarely throw the ball.
- Finished second in the state in the 300 meter hurdles in 2007.
- Has run the 40 under 4.4!
- 6', 155-160 lb

I'm thinking Craig Yeast here. With school not throwing much, easy to speculate why he's not well known (to me).

It looks as if coach Brooks and co. are continuing their m.o. of signing under the radar, speedy players.

I read this article about one of the top corners in the nation who apparently knows Eric.

"Harris said he allowed just 5 pass completions on him this season - the definition of a shut-down corner. Only one receiver got by him for a touchdown - Eric Adeyemi of Miami Southridge. "

"Harris said Adeyemi and South Carolina prep star A.J. Green of Summerville were the best receivers he faced all season."

Thanks for sharing.

Too, I like how this staff gets out there and finds such talent or "diamonds in the rough." Here's hoping the young man proves to be such a diamond. :)I surely like what I read about Mr. Adeyemi's GREAT SPEED and GREAT HANDS. :)

No problem. I got excited when the #3 Cornerback in the nation said that our little unknown receiver was the best he had faced. We may have another "Locke" type player on our hands. Eric is a well known track star as well.

Seems we're going to have a hell of a track team as well, then. :icon_biggrin:

I was real excited when I heard about this kid. Miami seems to always have an overabundance of great players, so an "under the radar" kid like this just might be a star if he was from a different part of the country.

Sub 4.4 forty is great. Get him in here and working on it he should be able to shave it to 4.2 or 4.1 like myself and Deion Sanders. :icon_lol:

Gerntz,

In the future you might want to clarify that Adeyemi was timed in less than 4.4 seconds. I believe a couple of our posters here were thinking in terms of minutes. :icon_mrgreen:

Oh, no. I meant seconds. I don't chew my cabbage twice.

I loved sprints but hated track, therefore never went out for it, save for AAU events when I was 13, 14.
Loved running for conditioning for baseball and other sports, but didn't like the idea of running my arse off (track) just so I could run it off in a meet, lol.
