Modesto Christian Loses

Michael Porter and Modesto Christian lost a heart breaker that was very close all the way. Final score was 53-52. No stats up yet but I will post them if I catch them.

I am still searching for box scores with no luck but I did find this. Porter makes a few comments in here that make me think he will be on the same page with Tubby when he gets here.

I did find the most important stat. It seems Porter was sick Friday night and had no game yesterday.

SICK SENIOR — Michael Porter battled the flu Friday night. The Kentucky-bound senior said he woke up at 2 a.m., then 4 a.m. and again for good at 6 a.m. on Saturday. Sapped for energy, Porter said he focused mostly on his defensive game.
In 30 minutes, Porter finished 1-for-8 from the field, scoring two points — about 10 below his average.
Said Porter: "I felt I played with my whole heart."

With that kind of heart, I'm definately glad to have him even though I don't know a whole lot about him just yet. It's sounds like a good fit for us though overall.
