This team might not be as bad as we have thought.

Do you think the team was really hampered by the injuries or are we just bying in to his system?

I spoke with a friend of mine today that coaches at school that actually beat GWebb....I ask what is your opinion.and oh ya this guy has been a UK fan since the age of 8....28 now...back to this perception...we are banged up and the guys that are having to play minutes are no better than many of the teams we played early...Ok what about BG coachin...players buying into his system..."it takes time when we came into this school not all the players bought in....after a few wins and things get better...though UK with all the injuries have had a slow slow start. so again I think the best answer is both.

I think weve always bought into his system but injuries really hurt us early in the year. But the main difference in this team is that our seniors are stepping up and making plays. They show leadership now and take over when they need to.

Believing you can beat anyone is a big part of victory. Kentucky is realizing they should believe that, and more victories will come.

Both.....having Jasper and Meeks back is helping

I think one leads to the other. Now, that jasper and meeks are a bit healthier it's probably becoming easier to instill his system which makes it easier to buy into.

You have to think that not having Meeks and Jasper available for even practices probably hurt G's ability to fully teach the system. I mean you're having to rely on your second and third options for those two when you're running sets in practice. Player X doesn't have the skill set as Player Y.

It's like trying to teach/run the triangle with, say, Kurt Rambis instead of Jordan.

I guess the point is meeks and jasper offer better practices and results, and help to instill trust into the system.

I think getting everyone healthy has been the key. Early on Coury was playing a lot of minutes. He played hard and did what he was supposed to but he isnt Meeks or Jasper. Having these two back puts our best five on the floor. Then instead of having to start Stevenson, etc, they can give us a boost off the bench, compared to before when we could only go about a 6 man rotation.
