I will not be like some other and only post BCG criticism when they lose a game. With that said, this was the best coaching effort that I have seen from Gillespie thus far. I saw some faults, but nothing worth mentioning or dwelling on in the face of such a huge victory. As a Cat fan living in the heart of orange country it was quite refreshing to have the satisfaction of watching the Cats manhandle the Vols this evening.
Gillespie coached well and the players were superb in sticking with the gameplan. I could actually tell that there was a gameplan in this one and it worked. I hope that the Vandy game was the beginning of a great season and a great career for Gillespie. I have seen a dramatic change in the coaching from the beginning of the season until now and I don't think it has anything to do with the players. I am still not completely sold, but I think there may be more light at the end of the tunnel than I once thought. Keep up the good work coach. GO CATS!!!

I think there was a concerted effort to put our bigger guys on their small guys. Our bigger guys have enough speed to hang with them. He put Meeks (our fastest guy) on Lofton; smart! Patrick held the middle, and with Stevenson's great game, we negated their 3-pointers.
Great job by Gillispie and the whole team!

I totally agree with keycat.
I'm a Kentucky grown guy who goes to college in Knoxville, TN (Not UT though, mind you. Blahh). I always have to hear about how great UT is at everything from basketball to football to underwater basket-weaving. Great job to the team tonight for putting those Vols in their rightful place, in the loss column to Kentucky.

I like my crow fried! :icon_lol: Great win! Looks like they are making big strides in becoming a good team. The first step to become a good team is to dominate at home. So far so good in the SEC. Next up is USC. They can't overlook anyone. Unfortunately they have proven that this season.

Yeah, I had some tasty crow late last night too. I had picked the Cats to lose for the first time on this board. How happy I am that I underestimated them! It really was a well coached game.
