- Roark from North Cobb High School Atworth Georgia, committed to the Cats at about 12: 15 PM today. He choose UK over Oregon, Illinois, and Wake Forrest. Reportedly, his roots are in Hazzard, Kentucky. He is listed as an athlete but UK has promised him a chance to play quarterback.

Matt Roark, a quarterback from Acworth, Ga., has committed to play football for the University of Kentucky, his grandfather said Wednesday night.

Roark, who stands an Andre Woodson-like 6-foot-6 and weighs 190 pounds, is a prospect at wide receiver as well as quarterback. Recruiting Web sites Scout.com and Rivals.com list Roark as a three-star athlete (out of a possible five stars).

Roark attends North Cobb High School in Georgia, but Roark’s grandparents, Lee and Betty Roark, live in Hazard, Ky.
