...On Friday, Henry Clay head coach Sam Simpson called his team together to introduce a young man named Scott Ward to the team that would likely be joining them. He informed them that he is a good player and is not there to take anybodies position but they need to be sensitive to his situation.

Ward’s family was displaced from Covington, Louisiana and he was slated to play his senior year at St. Paul’s High School there. Covington sets on the North Shore right above New Orleans right across Lake Pontchartrain...

...Ward is a 6-foot-2 275-pound defensive tackle that Simpson is going to be able to add to his already deep roster. Ward said he played in something call the ‘meat package’ for the right-tackle-offense. “I hope to be in uniform by the next game,” Ward anxiously stated. “I can’t stand to be on the sidelines.”

Former UK defensive tackle Oliver Barnett, who coaches the defensive line at Henry Clay High School and always has a smile on his face, has an even broader smile on his face now. Barnett said that Ward already bench presses 350-pounds. Ward said he has no major offers presently but LSU, Southern Miss, and Arkansas have all shown interest...
