Great report. Thanks for the link Andy. No one gets us info better than you.

From the article:

Kentucky underclassmen also worked out for scouts. Speedster John Logan was the fastest Cat, running a sub 4.4 40-yard dash. Little ran a 4.4, and one of the biggest surprises was redshirt freshman Alfonso Smith, who also ran a 4.4.

Anyone who listened to coach Brooks talk about Smith during the season or followed his recruitment is not surprised by Smith's numbers. I am looking forward to seeing this kid in the spring.

Looks like Chip is back on the beat.

Good read! Sounds like we have the break out speed as long as we get blocks and good passes and things like that too. Defenesive speed should be solid as well I believe. It should be an up season I think.

wouldn't it be great to land this Fanuzzi kid...

I am happy with that. Of all the local writers, he is right behind Vaught in my book for providing us with the info we crave.

Any chance Logan might play defense?

Does Logan have the "hip turn" to play DB? We know he has the speed.

I don't know. I just wish we could put his speed to use on the field. If he doesn't appear likely to break into much playing time at WR, maybe he should give defense a look.

Since Andy contributes more info to these boards, somebody ought to put him on the payroll. But, Andy, allthough you provide so much data with links, etc., you don't say too much along the lines of your own personal opinions. Any reason for that?

Surely someone on our heavily experienced coaching staff can help Logan with his catching the ball. I sure looks like a matter of confidence and concentration. But if he is listening to the trailing footsteps (as some have thought)when he's looking for the ball, he surely wouldn't have the heart to be a defensive back who'd love to hit.

Man, am I ever looking forward to a UK defensive unit that will hit ---and tackle Over the last decade we've been the worst tackling team on average that I've watched---just trying to arm tackle, bump the opponent out of bounds, etc.
