Why would the staff ask the kid from Texas to grayshirt? This is very curious to me. I hope we dont jack around and lose him. From all I read he is good enough to play next year but would benefit from a redshirt. We are getting to a point where we can redshirt most everyone. anyone hear any reasons why they have asked him to grayshirt? There is a scholly crunch I am sure, but he is a top recruit...thanks

Are you referring to Idumwony, he's the only lineman from TX I see on our list of committs.
What's the source of the information that we have asked him to greyshirt?

I read this on TCP and another board..This is the guy they are referring to,I just cant always remember how to spell his last name..He said he is going to talk to his parents about a grayshirt at UK..Strange
It's a matter of numbers. If, in fact, he has been asked if he would consider a greyshirt, then the coaches have to think there's that possibility.

He's one of our highest rated recruits at a position w/o depth. I thought he would play as a true frosh.

When you say w/o depth, are you referring to quality or quantity? If I'm not mistaken, we had six OG's listed on the roster and only one (Leger) graduated.

I'm fairly certain he will end up at DT.
