How could we ever forget Wilmer "Vinegar Bend" Mizell.
I think Walt "Clyde" Frazier got his nickname from his 1930's style dress. All those pinstripes and wide-brim hats made him look like Clyde Barrow as portrayed by Warren Beatty in "Bonnie and Clyde."

Frazier abused a lot of NBA guards and probably made them feel like Bonnie.
I also forgot Dick "Cement Mixer" Cunningham of Murray State/Milwaukee Bucks fame. But I think at MSU we called him "Lurch." He wasn't exactly a twinkle toes. Or that might have been Len Mahoney, who also was not exactly a picture of grace on the court. One ages, the mind goes . . . .:?

Those were hard to come up with. We've had over 250 nicknames. Dizzy we had.
When I was a kid, there seemingly was a commie under every clothes hamper. They called it the "Red" scare. The Reds, not desiring the association, became "The Redlegs" I call them that to this day.
