From Crawford today. That kid really impressed me today. I also love how Ramel sneaked into the layup line after halftime, say what you will about these 2 seniors, for what they've been through, they are truly giving this team thier all.

I couldn't help but think along the same lines re: the gritty performance today of Joe Crawford, and the absolutely great performances lately by Ramel. Don't get me wrong, I did support Tubby, but could it be that BCG is the catalyst behind these guys' improvement.
I think it really speaks strongly for BCG coaching and motivational skills. I wish he had a couple more years with our seniors:icon_exclaim:

I have been very hard on Joe and Ramel the last couple of years. I have seen them make mistake after mistake..even the beginning of this year I threw my hands up in frustration thinking they were uncoachable. I was wrong. They have made more progress in the last 5 or 6 game than I have seen them make in their whole career.

I will agree with that.

I totally agree. We are now starting to see what these 2 seniors are capable of doing. It is what you expect from McDonalds All Americans. I am glad they have come on now and are leaders on this team, which is starting to play good ball.

I just got back from Athens and wanted to say a few things related to Joe. You never know how the 'Internet crowd' is going to respond to someone's performance. I was really, REALLY hoping that folks took it easy on him and recognized his effort today. He really gutted it out today. Every time Joe left the game, every TV timeout, every UK timeout, Joe was getting treatment on his foot. I wouldn't even say he was 50%. At the end of the game, a player (I believe it was Dwight Perry) and an assistant had to basically carry him to the locker room as he couldn't limp along on his own. Use whatever word you want...gritty, gutty, tough....all of the above for Joe today. He is AWESOME!
