I can't remember a player getting that many alley-oops in a game since...well...I dunno. It's been awhile. I think Lundquist at one point said we did that better than any team in the country. Kellogg agreed.

I almost thought Jasper overthrew the ball on the last one. But PP can just flat out get up in the air. He reminds a lot of Amare Stoudemire from the Phoenix Suns. Glad he's a Wildcat!

And that last one essentially sealed the deal. Kind of a dangerous thing to attempt at that point in the game, but with Jasper and Patterson executing it, it appears to be a piece of cake.

You're right. I can't remember that many alley oops thrown since Patrick Sparks. Difference was these connected.

I was just about to say I don't think there were any oops thrown in the past three years probably since Kelenna. So good to see those exciting type plays again.

Agreed with the Patterson-Stoudamire comparison. Very athletic big men with polished post moves.

the way we are feeding Pat in general is just insane. those over-the-top lobs have just become so pretty, and the alley-oops today were simply unreal. Jasper to Pat........

I am so excited about this team.

I really wish Stoudamire had played some college ball. I don't watch a lot of NBA games so, I don't get the comparison.

If PP stays a couple of years & develops an outside shot/better ballhandling skills he will be an unstoppable beast. In that case the Stoudamire comparison will be very valid.

The more I watch the kid, the more I worry *gulp* that he may leave after this year.

Man's an animal. He needs to work on parts his game, but still he's an absolute animal.

I think he would need to demonstrate more than the ability to dunk in order to leave after this year. He has not shot much from mid to long range in the last several games, and in The NBA, he will need to play the 4 position, not the 5, as he does at UK. He has had numerous shots blocked by bigger centers recently. JMHO.

Well he's already projected as a first round pick, so I don't think he would have to demonstrate much more ability. Yeah he's got he's shot rejected quite a few times. But's that's with teams zoning or doubling down on him. He won't get that in the NBA.

But, let's hope we don't even have to worry about that. At least for another year or so.

Will, I'm an admitted worry-wart. Honestly, though, I do not worry at all about that happening. I believe his parents are sincere about his getting an education, AND I think Patrick himself loves college.

His leaving after this season would EXTREMELY surprise me. I honestly expect him to stay three seasons (and not likely sticking to the four years the family now mentions). I think it's two seasons, at the very least.

Oh, I loved the passes AND Patrick's finishes. Yes, how he can get up there! :icon_biggrin: What talent and what FUN for us fans!

With all the alley--oops in one game, I had to take another look at the players. I was beginning to think Roger Hardin and Kenny Walker had came back to play. The two guys used to do that all the time.
