Cats take some hits in bid to shore up 'D'.
With national signing day on Wednesday, the University of Kentucky has been trying to put the final touches on its 2008 recruiting class.
The Wildcats have 18 oral commitments to date, and have been trying to use their last few available scholarships for help on defense and at wide receiver.
Their quest for defensive help took a couple of blows last week as one of their highest-regarded prospects, Mobile, Ala., three-star defensive end Willie Bohannon, backed out of his UK commitment and switched to Tennessee.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Bohannon was listed as one the nation's five "Super Sleepers" for the 2008 class by Rivals.com and was named as a player who could have a major impact at UT as a true freshman.
