I'm thinking about taking a weekend trip to The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's home outside of Nashville. Anyone care to share prior experiences, thoughts or suggestions?

I went once in the late 80's when I lived in Smyrna, Tn. Nice trip. I'd recommend.

I lived less than a mile from there for several years. It is a beautiful place and a very interesting tour. I took Dave Kaelin there a couple years ago and he loved it. The tornadoes that hit it a few years ago really did a number on the landscaping. I think you'll enjoy it.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try to get there when it warms up.

I'm thinking about also trying to get to Greeneville, Tennessee, where Andrew Johnson lived and was buried. Has anyone here gone to check that out?
