Thanks! I found him listed in last year's Street & Smith College Basketball magazine. He waslisted as a High Honorable Mention High School All Ameriacan, the highest ranking S & S gives an underclassman.

I spotted Tubby on campus with looked like a recruit and parent, that's who it probably was.
Confirmed, this is who I saw.

...The Point Guard Position:
One of the most disheartening developments over the past ten years has to be the sharp decline in quality point guards. Everyone who should be a stellar point guard has been programmed to be a shoot-first shot-clock killer. When someone like Steve Nash actually plays the position correctly, basketball fans react like he discovered the solution to world hunger.
On the high school level, it's tough to find kids with a true point guard mentality. Kids who can score are the ones rewarded with excess adulation. The local newspaper doesn't do feature articles on the player leading the team in assists.
A huge exception to this rule is Derrick Jasper. The 6-foot-4-inch guard from Paso Robles, CA played like a true point guard throughout the Adidas "Super 64" tournament. He would've averaged over 10 assists a game had his teammates not booted his passes out of bounds. He has tremendous size and strength for the position at his age. He always dribbles with his head up, keeping an eye out for an open teammate. He never makes a bad decision with the basketball and he always finds the right man on the fast break. How many NBA points guards currently struggle with these seemingly basic skills?
Jasper didn't come into this weekend with much national hype behind him, but that should change after his EBO-EA Sports squad took home the tournament title on Tuesday night in front of a nationally televised audience. Basketball fans need kids like Jasper to succeed. He sees the floor like a seasoned pro and he still has his senior year of high school ahead of him. I will be tracking this kid's progress very closely. ...

Jasper's visit seemed to go really well and his mom was equally impressed. However, he says UK is still even with the other schools he plans to visit. Expecting to make a decision by November.

I will be shocked and awed if he goes somewhere other than UK...
Washington is running out of PT to give.
Illinois... dont think so. But I guess that is his decision.
