With the recent news about Sidney and Cousins putting us on the top of their lists, do you think we could end up having the top recruiting class that year if we can get those two committed as well as John Wall and Clarence Trent to come in here with Villarino? Just think of the team we would be in a few years. Especially if we can get Hopson to come in next year with Liggins and Miller. If Patterson sticks around, he should be well polished by then. Is's almost scary to think about how good we could be if we could nail all these guys. We're talkin' about a team that could go back to back with NCAA championships and get us back to the powerhouse team that we used to/should be. Time to offer Sidney a scholly.

We do have a shot at a monster class. And what is better is that we have 2 great players already committed in 2010 to follow it up.

High hopes?
That's what Kentucky basketball is all about.
for the first time in many years, there's a ton of hype regarding Kentucky's prospects and recruits. Let's just hope things go our way. Coach is known for being a great recruiter, now he needs to seal the deal with these guys.

UK always gets the hype for recruits but until they sign LOI then thats all it is just hype.

It would be nice, but where do we get all these open scholarships? There's only one junior on the team.

By "first time in many years" do you mean 4 years when we signed Rondo/Crawford/Bradley/Morris. Or 2 years ago when we signed Meeks/Jasper and were in the hunt for Wright/Thaddeous Young/Willie Kemp? Or last year when we were going hard after Patterson/Lucas? There is always hype around our recruits, unfortunately not all end up on campus.

I'm done getting caught up in "what might be", I've gotten way too excited to many times. I'll follow the recruits, I'll talk about the recruits, but I won't look at what could be until we can look at what is. In the end we get worked up and when it doesn't happen as we had expected we start pointing fingers. Remember the whole Brandon Wright debacle? That was the nail in the coffin for Tubby in terms of the perception of his lack of recruiting by some of the fan base.

I'm with you. I still haven't gotten over the hurt of losing Jason Rich.
