Alright I've been looking at recruit after recruit and I'm trying to put together just what next years class will look like. How many scholarships will be available? 2? Sparks and Stockton? Michael Porter takes one of those. Brandan Wright will likely take the other. So how does UK figure in getting Deon Thompson, Willie Kemp, Jasper, Thad Young ? Is stevenson, christopher, and robinson still in the mix?

I'm assuming Tubby is thinking that along with Sparks and Stockton, that Rondo is probably gone. Also, maybe either one or two of the young Cats (Bradley, Crawford, or Morris) is gone for sure to the NBA. Then maybe someone will transfer. There is always a walk-on situation as well?

I think the thing will play out with Porter going to a prep school like williams. Then Branden will take one, Deon or Thad taking the other obvious one. Then maybe you think that maybe morris or rondo. So that give you another scholly then you can get a KY boy to take a walk on roleand that opens up another. But all this is pending on the fact that we actually get these guys to commit not that I doubt we can just will hold on the toast until it is a done deal. Besides you are only really looking at three or four scholarship players to come out of all those recruits.

i hope you are wrong TREX. i really would like to see us NOT have a transfer. i am thinking optimistically here, but i really think with RM's NBA draft fiasco, he'll stick around. Last year Crawford toyed with the idea of leaving and realized he was better at UK. if he didn't transfer then, i don't know why he'd do it and forego his JR year (again, optimistically). As for Bradley, he's the only one that scares me. He has enough talent to start on our team, but doesn't. So if anyone transfers, it's him IMO. As for rondo, i really think he's at least a 3 yr player. i remember an article that said getting his degree was a top priority. Granted priorities change, especially when you are given the opportunity to make millions, but i really think he'll stick it out.
but who knows....no one knows the future, just wanted to drop some love

Sparks +1
Stockton +1
Rondo +1
___________
= 3 schollies available
Jasper -1
Thompson -1
Wright -1
___________
= 0 schollies available
Porter to prep school.
I'm also going on a limb to say that Kemp signs with UK. Just a feeling I get. At that point, you make room somehow for a scholarship. Maybe Jared Carter walks on; maybe Joe Crawford isn't around in 2006.
It'll work out. If it worked out with Morris/Crawford/Bradley/Rondo, anything can work. :D

I hope I'm wrong too. I don't think it will be Bradley. After next year,Bradley is going to be our experience guard if Crawford or Rondo does leave. All I'm stating is there is possibility that somebody might transfer. I think this is the going to be the first year under Tubby that we didn't have somebody transfer too. *knock on wood* I don't like it when players transfer.

Jared Carter does the Estill thing...
Morris leaves after playing like Wes Unseld in second half of the season:P
That would be 5.
The issue is 2007. We lose 5 in 2007 just on seniors...
