Be careful today. Lots of nasty weather. All of the surrounding counties have called off school for the day, which means a free day of relaxation for me (I work for an elementary school).

So far, it has not been NEAR as bad as last week's ice storm that completely shut Marion down for a few days. But, it's not over yet.

Been a rough winter for all of western Kentucky, when you consider the tornadoes and the two (so far) ice storms. :mad:

my daughter is at WKU..she said she had 5 people in her 8:00 class so her professor told them all to leave..she said there is ice everywhere

Unless you absolutely have to come to Bowling Green, don't do it. It is nothing short of a major mess here. We have around 1/4 inch of ice covering everything. I can't believe that the schools were not closed today. There are county school buses stranded everywhere. A lot of streets are closed due to accidents.

thanks for the update trublu..I told my daughter to stay put..she is going to the basketball game tonight and then she will attempt to come home in the morning..I sure hope roads are clear by then

yes it is a white out-out tonight for the game....she said they are expecting a huge crowd....I too went to EKU but I am pulling for the Toppers for her sake..she loves it down there..we were down there on Sunday..I love the campus

I WALKED to my mailbox about 30 minutes ago, 75 yards or so from my house. The road was covered with a film of ice. It was hard enough to walk it without falling. I woulld not want to have to drive on it.
