3. Pac 10 - .5746

4. Big East - .5709

5. Southeastern - .5657

6. Big Ten - .5533

7. Atlantic 10 - .5459

8. Missouri Valley - .5368

The consensus is that the SEC has been down this year. Looks like the numbers prove that.

Clearly the RPI is flawed if anyone think the A-10 in the best conference. Or is that suppose to be the ACC since the A-10 is on there twice? I am confused.

The SEC is down, no doubt, but we are not as bad as some want to make us out to be. Also, the league is very young which lead to a bunch of early loses, which from an RPI standpoints is near impossible to overcome since you pretty much are just playing each other this time of year. Also, we are still above the Big 10 and not very far from the Big East, a conference everyone has been raving about.

I don't think there are huge differences this year in the big conferences. They all have some good teams and bad teams. Last year the SEC was way better than everyone else, but I don't think there is a great conference this year. Even the ACC has Duke and UNC and a bunch of schools that are decent but not great. They would all be middle of the pack in the SEC just like they are middle of the pack in the ACC. The SEC lacks a second top teir school this year which is hurting us, but the depth of good teams isn't drastically different than ussual. Once UK and UF get back and hopefully Ark. the SEC will be back to being a top league. You just have UK and UF with mediocure teams at the same time for the first time in 20 years which makes the whole league look down.
