Reading some of these other threads on IU, I see that they have a few options.

1.) Fire him immediately.
2.) Suspend him. Dickau would then coach.
3.) Keep him on.

There could be other variations if you want to mix in barring themselves from the tournament as well.

This is a tough one, but I see them going the suspension route. This gives the benefit of letting the NCAA process run it's course because the hearing for IU can be as early as May, but more likely June. This would also give the lawyers for IU enough time to review the evidence and have it locked in and totally proven that he violated what I will call the ethics clauses in his contract. Maybe they have had enough time to do these things, but with recent lawsuits by O'Brien at OSU, Tarkanian at UNLV, etc. I think IU should be nimble, but totally cover themselves. I don't know if they have had enough time to do this, at this point.

As for the players walking out, I don't see that, especially the seniors. I can see the posters now talking about Eric Gordon transferring to Illinois, but there is no way he would sit out a year.

IU is not my team, but I have always respected their tradition, with the exception of those ugly candy cane striped pants. Those were just a clown suit reject.

What do you think will happen to Sampson?

I think you mean Dokich, not Dickau. Anyway, the athletic department as a whole is under scrutiny. If Sampson goes, the athletic director needs to go as well.

on sportscenter andy katz more or less said they are down to 2 options, and are not gonna make a press conference until one is figured out.

1. suspend him w/out pay until end of season and then potentially fire him

2. work on a settlement right now to buy him out of his contract and go on with the season with asst coach as interim coach

anyways sampsons days are numbered, he will be gone just when is now the answer

I hope Dan Dakich gets every opportunity to succeed in Bloomington. I'm an IU grad and had him as an instructor in school. He came across as a class act and a good teacher. He may be more suited to developing kids in an assistant role and had mixed success as a mid-major head coach. He'll definitely have the support of the BK crowd in Indiana but will have a tough time rebuilding when IU loses Gordon and White and if they face NCAA sanctions.
