Arkansas looks about two steps quicker. They've gotten pretty much every shot they've wanted in the first 5:00.

Gillispie's decision to run with them is strange -- unless that's just the players getting out and pushing it on their own.

We just look so lost on offense some times. The clock will trickle for 30 seconds and then we take a rushed shot. And for those that thinks it's Gillispie, it's not. His TAMU team last year scored 90+ points six times and 100+ twice.

Arkansas will make a serious run in this game, though. Weems got quite a few open shots that didn't go; Beverly has done nothing.

We're going to have to hit open threes in the second half, keep up the intensity on D, and FIND PATTERSON. He was working hard down there a few times and didn't get the ball. :mad:

Thoughts:
-UK's defense is awesome.
-Turnovers haven't killed us...keep it up in the second half.
-Best offensive rebounding I've seen from the Cats this season against a big frontcourt.
-Perry Stevenson playing great.
-UK looks lost on offense...what's new.
-Arkansas had a ton of success with the double and triple top of the key screens at the beginning of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to these plays at the beginning of the second.
-ARK isn't going to let Patterson beat them...that's clear.

Overall a good half. Keep it up.

That was probably our best defensive half of the year. It's not like they missed a bunch of open shots. They went 6-17 and hit most of the open jumpers we gave them, meaning we gave them very few.
Our defense will (hopefully) win this game for us.

I have to disagree. I think the problem is that Patterson doesn't release to the goal. He stands there and allows both defenders to remain in the play.

Good game, Hogs brought it today. I would have liked to have seen our FT shooting a little better. Not up to par, but then I expect every one of them to go in for us. I thought I was going to absolutely lose it when they started showing the Puke game. I was about ready to put my foot through my television. THANKS.I was a little tense also. I think all these close games are wearing on me. I enjoy those double-digit wins.:icon_mrgreen: but believe me,I support these guys and any player that pulls on that UK uniform.I am proud of their effort and toughness and the strides that they have made. Let's hope they keep it going.

Will, I saw your post during the TO and I wanted to clarify something. When the Arkansas player received the ball, the Crawford was over 6' from him. The actual count didn't start until he got within that 6'. I watched the replay a couple of times and my count was almost 4 when the TO was granted.
